Getting Involved with Extracurriculars

Hillcrest has after school athletics like volleyball, basketball, golf, spirit team and chess — in addition to Student Council, Drama and Cooking. Recently our award-winning competitive barbeque team has been on a roll!

Extracurriculars are a great way to make friends, learn teamwork, and grow in important life skills.

Dinner Theater at Hillcrest

Step into the world of ‘Murder at the Mardi Gras Mansion’, where Hillcrest students bring an unforgettable evening of theater, mystery, and fine dining to life! This student-run production offers hands-on experience in acting, stage management, backstage crew work, and hospitality.

Guests enjoyed a three-course meal served by our dedicated student waitstaff. Meanwhile, onstage, eccentric characters filled the governor’s mansion with laughter and intrigue. Behind the scenes, students ran lighting, sound, and set transitions, ensuring a seamless performance.

Our dinner theater is a unique tradition that allows students to collaborate creatively, shaping their characters and working together to create an immersive experience. Once the show opens, the students are in control— This production is more than just a performance—it’s a chance for students to build confidence, develop leadership skills, and create lasting memories.

Cookout Champs

Hillcrest is proud of our students on the competitive barbeque team, who have been winning competitions around Texas, placing for ribs, brisket, beans, and more. Consider joining as a student, or be sure to cheer us on at the next event.

A+ Athletics

We love to see families, friends and fans cheer on the Eagles during our basketball and volleyball games. Our Spirit Team often performs to rev up spectators. We’d love to see you there!
