For over 30 years we’ve been setting students up for success.
We believe in providing specialized education for students K-12 with learning differences.
Hillcrest School is a private, not-for-profit, Cognia-accredited school for students with learning differences in grades K-12. We specialize in helping students with dyslexia and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder reach their maximum potential.
The student-to-staff ratio contributes to students’ academic success and social development, which leads to overall achievement. Multi-sensory techniques, an interdisciplinary curriculum and organizational strategies enable all learners to find opportunities and be successful.
Athletics at Hillcrest
We’re proud of our student athletics program, which includes after-school sports that are available to all students. Basketball, volleyball and cheerleading are some of the teams that students can be a part of. Join us for games in the gymnasium to cheer on the Eagles!
A Rich History in Midland
For 30 years, Hillcrest has been providing successful education strategies for students with learning differences. Based in Midland, Texas, Hillcrest School was founded by educator Betty Starnes in 1993 and has been honored to be supported by the community as a non-profit school.
Sharing in Success
Low student-to-staff ratios (K-12) are one way that we set students up in a successful learning environment. We’re able to provide a more personal and unique experience for students with learning differences, leading to more positive outcomes both academically and socially. “I just felt hopeless because my son wasn’t learning. …We came to Hillcrest and the teachers saw his strengths, not just his learning differences, and it gave me that hope. He told me it was the best school in the universe because the teachers love and care about [him]. I finally have hope.”
— Hillcrest Parent
“It is great to be a student here! The school is so welcoming, it brought me out of my shell, and helped me to do my best. The teachers are dedicated to helping us get things done and I appreciate that.”
